Collagen Nutraceuticals, Inc. , Lake Forest, CA, has filed for patent protection for the manufacturing method and the use of its latest innovation—Reversitall—an extract from a blend of red wine, Muscadine grapes, grape cluster stems and grape vine. According to the company, Reversitall naturally contains significant levels of a compound known as the stilbenes. Grapevine-derived stilbenes include trans-resveratrol (3, 5, 4 –trihydroxystilbene; 1) and trans-e-viniferin, and oligomeric proanthocyanidins. Further, Reversitall is manufactured under an exclusive patent-pending process, without exposure to high heat, chemicals or UV light. Reversitall is also free of Japanese Knotweed, also known as polygonum cuspidatum.
